IB German A (Literature) is a Group 1 subject in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). It explores the analysis and interpretation of German literary works across various genres including novels, poetry, plays, and essays, with a strong focus on critical literary analysis, cultural contexts, and the exploration of global issues through literature.
The course is available at Standard Level (SL, 150 teaching hours) and Higher Level (HL, 240 teaching hours), with first assessment in 2021.
